This is an industrial-style stool featuring Blacksmith Co.’s original design, constructed with 13 springs. 

The iron legs are modeled after a vintage Spring Drafting Stool used in the United States during the 1920s. The surface is finished with a natural black steel texture and sealed with beeswax, giving it a rich antique character. 

The springs are arranged in various directions to allow the seat to flex slightly, adjusting to the user’s posture and helping to reduce strain on the lower back. This ergonomic and functional design was reportedly favored by doctors, architects, and artists in America at the time as a reliable work stool.
